The Adjudicator’s Handbook

About the Project

The Adjudicator's Handbook is an instructional video series I produced for CareSource's Claims Knowledge Management Team, featuring step-by-step walkthroughs of the reference materials, electronic databases, and research processes used in health insurance claims production across state-based and program-based markets. I managed every production element — from storyboard design and script editing to voiceover recording and post-production — in collaboration with the Claims Knowledge Specialist, who served as subject matter expert and primary script contributor.

A detailed instructional table titled 'The Adjudicator's Handbook: Episode 1 - How to Access eManuals (Storyboard)' outlining steps on how to access and navigate an electronic manual, including sections, scripts, actions, and time stamps.

Featured Learning Products

One learning product was developed for this episode: an instructional video I produced and published to the Cornerstone LMS, made available to claims staff across CareSource's state-based and program-based markets.

  • I opened the project with a commencement meeting to define the scope and strategic approach for the series. Through SME interviews with the Claims Knowledge Specialist and a review of existing eManual documentation, I established what content each episode needed to cover and what production resources the series would require. This phase produced an intake record and proposed training solution that served as the foundation for Episode 1 — How to Access eManuals.

  • With scope confirmed, I developed the storyboard for Episode 1, mapping each scene to a section of content, a narration script, and a corresponding on-screen action. I also designed the video template — establishing the visual format, title treatment, and pacing structure used across the series. The Claims Knowledge Specialist contributed the scene-by-scene scripts, which I then edited for narration clarity and instructional flow.

  • I produced Episode 1 using Canva, Camtasia, and QuickTime Player, integrating screen recordings, narration, royalty-free footage, and on-screen text. An SME review confirmed content accuracy and alignment with current eManual functionality, followed by a stakeholder review for operational alignment. I published the finalized video to the Cornerstone LMS and coordinated a Knowledge Management alert to notify claims staff of the new resource.

  • Following publication, Episode 1 entered the active course catalog in Cornerstone. I designed the series as an evergreen program — each subsequent episode follows the same production workflow, ensuring the catalog grows consistently as new reference materials, tools, and processes are introduced by the Claims Knowledge Management Team.
